Student Registration Procedures

  • Step 1: Prepare Required Documents

    1. Review the list of required documents for enrollment. The list is below.
    2. Ensure all documents are ready to be uploaded from your computer.
    3. Use your iPhone or Google to scan documents if needed.
    4. Ensure each document is 3MB or less per file.

    Step 2: Access Online Registration

    1. Fayette County Public Schools uses Online Registration powered by Infinite Campus for all enrollments.
    2. Open the registration portal on a computer (recommended, as the process may take 30–40 minutes).
    3. Use the Google Chrome browser for best compatibility. Other browsers may not work properly.

    Step 3: Complete the Online Registration Form

    1. Fill out all required fields in the application.
    2. Upload the necessary documents as part of the registration process.
    3. Double-check all information before submitting.

    Step 4: Submit the Online Registration Form

    1. Ensure that all required documents are attached.
    2. Click Submit to finalize the registration.

    Step 5: Need Assistance?

    • If you do not have access to a computer, schedule an appointment to use one at the Enrollment Center before 2:00 PM.
    • An appointment is required to receive assistance at the Enrollment Center.

    Step 6: Residency Requirement

    • The parent or legal guardian AND the student must be full-time residents of Fayette County, Georgia to be eligible for enrollment.

    Step 7: Final Confirmation

    • Your online registration must be completed and submitted before enrollment can proceed.

Registration for New and Current Families

Required Documents

  • You can upload your documents while completing online registration. If you experience any issues, please contact the Enrollment Center for help.

    Residency/Proof of Age/Parent ID

    Homeowner Requirements: Current residential property tax statement. If the property has closed within the last year, you must use the signed closing Settlement Statement (received from your attorney during closing) or where you filed for your Homestead Exception. We do not accept Warranty Deeds or Mortgage Statements. (If you do not own a home in Fayette County but are living with someone who does, both parties will need to come to the Enrollment Center to sign an affidavit, and we will need the property owner’s current property tax, the electric bill, and picture ID. If this applies to you, you must wait until after July 1st to enroll.)

    OR

    Renter Requirements: Current complete lease or rental agreement with term dates, all occupants listed, and signatures of tenant and landlord. Month-to-month leases are not accepted. (If you are living with someone, but the lease is not in your name, your name and the names of the students must be listed as occupants on the lease/rental agreement. A letter from the landlord/mobile home park stating that they are aware that you and your students are living there will suffice.)

    Current Electric Bill or the initiation of electric service with name & service location. We do not accept any other bill.

    Picture ID of parent/guardian that is registering the student.

    Birth Certificate of Student (30-day provisional except for Pre-K & Kindergarten)

    Social Security Card or Signed Waiver

    Social Security Card of the student(s) or a signed waiver objecting to the use of the Social Security number. (30-day provisional)

    Providing the Social Security number is voluntary. The number will be used for identification purposes and will be incorporated into official school records pertaining to that student. The confidentiality of the number will be kept in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

    Immunization/Health Certificates - Must be provided within 30 days of registration

    Please turn in both forms to the nurse at your child's school.

    Immunization Certificate (Form 3231)
    All students entering or attending Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in Fayette County Public Schools are required to have a valid Georgia Certificate of Immunization issued by a licensed Georgia physician, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or qualified employee of the local Health Department or the State Immunization Office.

    Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutrition Screening (Form 3300)
    All students entering or attending Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in the Fayette County School System are required to have a valid Georgia Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition.

    7th Grade Immunization Requirements
    In Georgia, all children attending 7th grade, and children who are new entrants into a Georgia school in grades 8 through 12, are required to receive one dose of Tdap vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine to meet immunization requirements.

    11th Grade Immunization Requirements
    In Georgia, all students entering or transferring into 11th grade will need proof of a meningococcal booster shot (MCV4), unless their first dose was received on or after their 16th birthday. Meningococcal disease is a serious bacterial illness that affects the brain and the spinal cord. Meningitis can cause shock, coma, and death within hours of the first symptoms. To help protect your children and others from meningitis, Georgia law requires students to be vaccinated against this disease, unless the child has an exemption.

    Previous School Records

    Academic Transcript and Discipline Records from the previous school must be turned in to the school. They will request records from the previous school.

    You can upload your documents while completing online registration. If you experience any issues, please contact the Enrollment Center for help.

    The online application must be completed before scheduling an appointment with the Enrollment Center. Please do not try to complete the application on your phone. If you do not have access to a computer, please schedule an appointment before 2:00 pm to use a computer at the Enrollment Center.

Age Eligibility

  • Entering kindergarten (K) and first (1st) grade: According to Georgia Law, children must be five (5) years old by September 1 in order to enroll in kindergarten and six (6) years old by September 1 to enroll in first grade.

    Fayette County Schools, in its enrollment procedures, requirements, and process, does not and will not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, or immigration status.
