Beta Club

This club promotes and rewards student character, service, leadership and achievement.
Requirements for Membership Beta Club: Students must have at least a 3.7 (90) grade point average (GPA) to be invited to join. There will be no rounding up. Students will be invited to join the first semester of their sophomore year. They must maintain a 3.7 GPA and complete 20 hours of community service each school year (10 per semester) to be an active member. Communication will occur through Schoology.

International Thespian Society

National Honor Society

fcboe.org , Heather Hulse- hulse.heather@fcboe.orgThe McIntosh Chapter of the National Honor Society has been formed and shall exist for the purpose of creating enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulating a desire to render service, promoting leadership, and supporting character in the students of McIntosh High School.
Membership in the McIntosh Chapter of NHS is open to students in the junior class who have been in attendance at McIntosh High School at least one semester. Selection criteria are based on the national organization’s 4 cardinal principles:

Scholarship: a weighted cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher on a 4.0 scale, to be maintained during remaining semesters at McIntosh

Leadership: must hold an elected or appointed office in one organization or present evidence of leadership in some capacity

Service: must be active in at least 2 school extracurricular activities and show evidence of serving in at least one community service project

Character: maintain ethical behavior in school and out of school, no recorded incidents of academic dishonesty, or flagrant disregard for school or community rules. Students may not be involved in the violation of any school or community ordinances.
Students who are academically eligible will be notified in late August or early September of their junior year. Further consideration for selection will take place after completion of the student application. Applications must be submitted on time in order to be considered for membership. If accepted into the chapter, students must pay the chapter dues and acknowledge receipt of the chapter bylaws by the due date to be initiated into the McIntosh National Honor Society which usually occurs in October.
National Spanish Honor Society

National Technical Honor Society

National French Honor Society

National Art Honor Society

The Art Club and the Art Honor Society meet concurrently, once a month in room A119 for studio time and art related service for the school and community. Anyone can join Art Club, but to be a member of the Art Honor Society, a student must receive an A in Beginning Art and maintain an A average in all art courses. Art Honor Society students can earn honor cords for graduation by participating in 25 hours of art-related service by the end of their Senior year.
