Administrative Institute focuses on leaders learning

The leaders of Fayette County Public Schools never stop learning. The summer kicked off with administrators from every school gathering with county office leaders for two days of learning and growth at the annual administrative institute.

Day one kicked off with a welcome in the Fayette County High auditorium. Davina Nguyen of McIntosh High sang the National Anthem to help open the festivities, and Teacher of the Year Rob Bell of Starr’s Mill High sent the leaders off with a message of inspiration. The afternoon focused on school improvement plans, including a lengthy work session.

Day two was filled with breakout sessions on topics like communication and discipline. It closed with talk on developing a shared vision with Dr. Mike Rutherford and Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Patterson.

The conference included students Jace Ojeda of Spring Hill Elementary and Morgan Bryant of Sandy Creek High sharing what a Fayette County Public Schools education has meant to them.
