Attendance Polices

FVA Attendance Requirements

Fayette Virtual Academy courses are asynchronous. Therefore, in person or virtual attendance is not required. FVA attendance records are based on coursework completion. In each Schoology-based course, all weekly assignments are due at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday evenings. On Mondays, teachers will mark participation attendance based on the previous week's course participation (weekly assignment completion). Students who complete less than half of their required weekly assignments in a course will be marked as non-participants for the week in that course. 

If a FVA student cannot complete 50% or more of weekly assignments in a Schoology or GA Virtual course and has an excused absence, a parent can submit an excuse to: hs-fva-attendance@fcboe.org
